Detailed information

The book is about understanding security issues of the Nordic Region in the post Cold War global order (1990-2000). It explains from 'neutral' (during the Cold War) to 'engaging' role of the Nordic Countries (Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark). The disintegration of the Soviet Union, re-shaping role and priorities of the US led NATO and deepening European Integration has changed security dynamics of the Nordic region. Norway and Denmark has joined NATO where the Nordic neutral countries, Sweden, Denmark and Finland have joined European Union. So the book is explaining different security priorities of an individual Nordic country and their advancing role for common agendas in the Nordic region in the Post Cold War decade, 1990-2000.
