Detailed information

When the book was being finished, the Canadian authorities introduced a package of sanctions against the world's first female cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova and the world's second female cosmonaut Svetlana Savitskaya. A radical change in the attitude of the policy towards these cosmonauts, the first women to travel into space, clearly demonstrates the blind and destructive influence of the sanctions policy, considering the low presence of women on the spaceflights. The importance of this research is highlighted by the continued 2023 imposition of sanctions without the approval of the United Nations Security Council, which once again raised the question of the legality of such actions, given the existing commercial, commercial and other interests, other than military-strategic. These and other questions are scrutinized in several chapters of this book.
