Detailed information

The book provides the reader with a brief overview of the good results obtained by combining various predictive maintenance techniques that are highly relevant to the oil industry, following all the necessary procedures so that these techniques enable a safer, more productive and healthier environment. The study seeks to explore the reality of a company in the petroleum products storage and transport industry that operates with LPG sphere-type tanks and became SPIE-certified (Serviço Próprio de Inspeção de Equipamentos) after many efforts and advances in inspection engineering in Brazil. The predictive techniques presented and discussed here are non-destructive tests duly applied to the type of equipment being analysed and its importance to the production process, coupled with a generous history of inspections, maintenance and documents for the equipment being studied, which prove the countless benefits gained from SPIE certification and the possibilities that companies in the same field can take advantage of. We hope that this brief study can contribute to industry, society and future engineering studies.
