Detailed information

This book explores the growing challenges of integrating wind power into global power grids, due to the intermittent nature of wind turbines and their lack of design adapted to system services. The main objective is to optimize the control of variable-speed wind turbines using robust control techniques (ADRC and RST), making them resistant to disturbances and effectively integrating them into the frequency control of the power grid. The book models a variable-speed wind turbine, perfects wind generation using the MPPT reference, and regulates active power via converters. Two approaches to primary frequency control based on active power are presented, and the AGC is used with ADRC and RST controllers to adjust the active power of the wind generator. Simulations performed with MATLAB/Simulink contribute to the stable integration of wind power, offering innovative solutions for a sustainable energy transition.
