Detailed information

Bangladesh is one of the richest countries of the world considering the availability of fisheries resources but annual fish production is still less than the demand of country people. Bangladesh earns second highest foreign currency from fisheries sector by exporting fisheries products. Fisheries are playing an important role in the development of Bangladesh and through better management this contribution can be increased much. Huge employment opportunities have been developed based of fisheries in Bangladesh. Food security must be established in Bangladesh by scientific using of all types of resources. We need to use our resources more efficiently in an eco-friendly way so that enough production can be obtained to meet up the country demand. The multiple use of water from ponds needs to be well understood in order that it can be optimally used to produce farm products and meet domestic needs. Fish farming is a profitable and attractive commercial enterprise. This agribusiness study is an endeavor to study the fish farms which includes all activities from input collection to marketing of fish in Bangladesh.
