Eat bread

This collection of short stories was published in 1954, in which Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud contemplates human life, through seven short stories that reflect his attractive narrative style. The collection begins with the story "Travels," where we learn about the heroine who commits suicide. Followed by the story "He Who Wins," in which a doctor suffers from patients'' reluctance to visit his clinic, so he decides to rent out the clinic rooms. Then the story "Wedding Makers," which tells the story of a dancer and a qanun player who are treated poorly despite their belief that they are still capable of making the audience happy. And other stories with a cheerful style and poignant realism.
