Beijing Caishikou

In the history of ancient capital Beijing, Caishikou is a place that is especially worthy of mentioning. This is not only because the &quote;Six gentlemen of the Hundred Days' Reform&quote; sacrificed here, but also because a large number of cultural and historical imprints are accumulated in its surrounding area. Caishikou is Beijing's execution ground, which is located on the road in the southwest of today's Iron Gate Alley. In each autumn, the Grand Court of Revision, the Ministry of Criminals and nine councilors jointly tried criminals. At the winter solstice, criminals were executed here.
