School Music Program

A forerunner to the National Standards for Arts Education that were issued in 1994. Recommended achievements and standards are provided for early childhood, grades 1-3, 4-6, 6-8, and grades 9-12. Information about the scheduling, course offerings, staffing, materials and equipment, and facilities music teachers need to help their students achieve and meet standards appropriate to their grade levels are also provided.
