Charlie Gallogly

Charles "Charlie" Gallogly (born 16 June 1919, Gilford, County Down, Ireland, died 1993) was a professional footballer who played as a fullback for Huddersfield Town, Watford and Bournemouth. In 1950 he was awarded two caps for Northern Ireland. He emigrated to the United States in 1958, and managed Brooklyn Shamrocks F.C. from 1958-61. He died in New York on 12 January 1993. Glenavon F.C. is a semi-professional, Northern Irish football club playing in the IFA Premiership. The club, founded in 1889, hails from Lurgan and plays its home matches at Mourneview Park. Club colours are blue and white.
