Sochi Resort

The Sochi Black Sea coast is Russia's only subtropics, the best seaside climatic and balneological health resort in the world.Sochi is a unique resort, open to visitors all year round. The city spreads out on the very south of Russia, on the shore of the Black Sea. Krasnaya Polyana resort got its name thanks to the magnificent decoration of fiery red foliage, covering the mountains in autumn until the first snow. Sochi can be confidently called a "city for all seasons". After Sochi was selected to host the 2014 Winter Olympic Games, the program of improvement and modernization of the city touched many areas of production and services, including the tourism and recreation industry. Today there are many opinions about the prospects for the development of Sochi as a mountain-climatic resort. The object of the study in this paper is the resort and tourist complex as a city-forming sphere of Sochi. The subject of the study are the status and prospects of development of the resort and tourist complex of Sochi. The purpose of the study is to identify factors and trends in the development of the resort in modern conditions.
