Ben and Jilly have stumbled across one of science's biggest secrets and now they must protect it from a spy - Mr Z. A set of ten engaging stories for reluctant or struggling readers, with an interest age of about 7.5-8.5 and an interest age of 8-14. The books include an introduction to the characters and notable vocabulary, plus facts and questions at the back to encourage further reading and ensure that the text has been understood. Storylines include: dinosaurs coming to life, cloning, ghosts, a stolen gorilla, a mysterious garden, alchemy, the funfair from hell, a rat infestation and medieval Olympics.
