Culture characterization and Nutrients of Agrocybe cylindracea

Agrocybe Cylindracea is an important mushroom, has been highly valued as a functional food for its nutritional and medicinal benefits. Many bioactive extracts from A. cylindracea have been found to exhibit antitumor and antioxidant activities. Cultivation of A. cylindracea requires a culture material or substrate which is the most essential element in influencing the quality and yield. Therefore, three kinds of substrates were used in this research, where the first substrate formulae were composed by the 48% Giant Juncao Grass (GJ) and 30% of Dicraptoris dicholoma (DD) grasses; the second substrate formulae were composed by 48% of Wasted Tea Leaves (WTL), 30% of Sawdust (SD), the third substrate formulae was composed by 78% of cottonseed hulls (CSH) all supplemented with 20% of wheat bran and 2% of lime. The results are presented in this book.
