Eventually the secrets of a small town become so big that they cannot be hidden any longer. After centuries of growing tension the conflict between the humans and the Midnight Children finally destroyed the town. In the chaos two people are drawn to one another; one the last survivor of Sweetwood, the other a monster freed from imprisonment.
