This edition is based on a new, extensive collation of the main witnesses and a comprehensive interpretation of the text's transmission, including the progress that has been made since the publication of the last edition (1951-1957). The volume also takes into account numerous text-critical suggestions. Moreover, the volume considers indirect transmission more comprehensively, helping to improve the text's rendering.
