Fungi are parasitic on almost all groups of eukaryotic organisms, ranging from cellular amoebae, protozoa, and algae to larger plant groups such as liverworts, mosses, ferns, and seed plants, and animal groups from the smallest inconspicuous ones to the larger animals.
