In this book, Ismail Mazhar presents a literary critical study of the works of a number of senior writers and writers of his time, whether they are Arabs or orientalists. He begins with criticizing the book "God", Abbas Mahmoud Al -Akkad, where he is based on his criticism on mental and linguistic foundations, and is keen to present various views by including the discussions that took place between him and Al -Akkad, which were published in the magazines at the time. He continues with criticism of works of literary flags such as Taha Hussein and his book "In Pre -Islamic Poetry", Muhammad Rashid Reda, Perun Smith, Ali Mustafa Musharraf and Salama Musa. The book is characterized by a unique critical style that combines ridicule, humor and politeness, while preserving the scientific standing, which makes it provides a living and detailed reading that stems from an enlightened liberal intellectual vision.
