The Western story is one of the stories that meet a great spread in the east, and is widely popular, which encouraged many Arab writers to translate many of these stories, to put them in the hands of the reader, despite many of these stories that include many principles and values ​​that violate the values ​​and eastern principles Therefore, the writer "Anton Saadeh" composed two stories, "Eid Sednaya," and "The Traffic of Love", where he derived the events of these two stories from the spirit and values ​​of the eastern society, so he discussed in his first story many social phenomena scattered in Syrian society, such as fencing with the sword And religious celebrations, and the time period for this story is set between 1930 and 1931, while the place is close to Damascus and its name is "Deir Sednaya", and the events of the story focus on a love story between "Najla" and "Ibrahim", while the story of "tragic love" is concentrated Its events on the eternal conflict between good and evil, and the hero of the story is "Salim", which is an ideal character that adopts the virtues, values ​​and morals that have become missing in his time.
