In his wonderful novel, Ibrahim Abdel Qader Al -Mazni takes us on a complex and influential journey through the Forest of Emotions and the traditions of Egyptian society. The hero writer suffers from an emotional dispersion after losing his wife, where he is thrown in the mazes of love and relationships. The author reviews many stations in the life of the hero, as he faces the challenges of relations with women, and indulges in the struggles of love and competition. The novel takes us on a journey from Luxor to the Karnak columns, where the hero meets Balila, the fresh lady and the sweet tongue, but it ends with a sudden decision in Samira, whose mother chose. Al -Mazni weaves this emotional experience in an interesting and elaborate manner, in which it summarized for us the details of the traditions of society and the psychological challenges faced by individuals in the Egyptian countryside, and this is presented in a manner far from cost.
