Cotton, or the silver fleece, could be the answer to all of Zora and Bles' problems in overcoming poverty. But being African American at the dawn of the twentieth century has disadvantages. White aristocracy is determined to control the resource and monopolize the market. Can the two lovers overcome their obstacles?
