Medicine in the Information Age

Many doctors use Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) in their personal lives, but a few of them are integrating these devices into their clinical practice. PDAs can enable a clinician to access medical information right at the patient s bedside or on the move and can enhance clinical decision making. Studies in different countries have explored the extent to which medical practitioners make use of PDAs, and this book explores the situation in a teaching hospital in Ghana, West Africa.
