Detailed information

Today acid rain problem is one of serious global problem to environment in which pH of the rain water decreases cause harmful effect to nature, buildings, monuments, vegetation and human being also. This reaction is catalyzed by various metals and their oxide so it is very important to find out such compounds which inhibit this reaction in atmosphere. In our study we report that organics are best inhibitors for control the rain water acidity,(Studied Isopropyl and Isoamyl alcohols, sodium benzoate, Benzamide, aniline, Formic acid) and observed particularly alcohols having greater inhibition power compared to others and these all are control the rain water acidity and save our environment. In our study kinetics of reaction have been done by calculating rate constants, rate law, mechanism, activation energy etc in acidic medium.
