Cucurbits constitute an important group of vegetable crops cultivated throughout world especially in tropical and subtropical regions. The fruits are consumed as vegetables and they are the rich source of vitamins and minerals. Due to their intense cultivation, diseases caused by viruses have increased recently. A large number of viruses belonging to 14 genera are known to affect cucurbits worldwide. The genera, Begomovirus, Crinivirus, Tospovirus, Cucumovirus and Potyvirus are the ones that affect cucurbitaceous crops worldwide. In India begomoviruses are major threat. In this book deals with both virus and pest incidence correlation with weather parameter and management of virus through Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and also discussed about distribution status of virus in Tamil Nadu, India.
