Biometric authentication system is widely used for providing access to the employees working in different disciplines like schools, hospitals, colleges, offices etc. Its use has increased as there is no need to carry extra ID cards and remember complicated passwords for getting access to a particular environment. One such physiological biometric characteristic Finger Knuckle Print has been used in this research for recognition using Hybrid Wavelets. The finger knuckle print of a particular person is found to be unique and can serve as a biometric feature has been revealed recently by the researchers. It is the wrinkled part present on the phalangeal joint of the finger. This pattern is generated when a person bends his finger and is highly unique.
