Where Alan Partridge, chat show supremo, moved off 'On the Hour''s sports desk and into the mainstream for a spot of raw emotion and some hilarious anecdotes on the sleek studio sofas. The talents that led him to become one of the country's top presenters are all too apparent here as he puts incisive and ground-breaking questions to a host of celebrity guests including Simon Fisher, child prodigy, who doesn't know what's hit him (Alan, as it happens). Lady hypnotist Janey Katz taps into Alan's childhood phobias and wideboy gay lawyer Nick Bond finds that Alan's tolerance is limited. Attempts to gain favour with BBC TV's commissioning director don't go too well, fashion designer Yvonne Bond gives Alan an eyeful and political maverick Lord Morgan of Glossop regales him with tales of his colourful past. Light entertainment at its finest. A-ha!
