Detailed information

Vitamin deficiencies can be the cause of many health problems. I'm only a layman, but even I know that little fact. When I was a child, back in the late 1940's, I had severe nose bleeds for nearly all of one summer. Because of these nose bleeds, I spent more of that summer in the house than I did outside doing all the things a child should be able to do. In later years, a doctor told me that the nose bleeds were probably caused by a lack of Vitamin K. In undeveloped countries, especially in Africa, blindness is a common, very dangerous, problem. It usually starts as night blindness but can escalate into total blindness and even eventual death. The cause in many cases? Vitamin A deficiency. Until the 1980's, stomach ulcers were thought to be caused by stress, hot foods, fatty foods or acidic foods. Today, most stomach ulcers are generally thought to be caused by the bacterium; H. pylori. That's not a vitamin but I use it as an example to show that common thought may be wrong. Scientists can be wrong. Doctors can be wrong. Treatments for disease can be wrong. I'm not endorsing the views of this book. All I'm saying is that the material contained herein deserves a good look. The author's theories about the root cause of Rheumatoid Arthritis, RA, deserve it. Bud Simpson, Logan, Ohio Bud Simpson is the author of two books MANTAWASSUK: THE COVE and his latest, THE MOVING FINGER WRITES.
