Detailed information

In this book, the design and application of a novel multi-level inverter with a partial inductor gaining voltage for extra power generation is discussed. First of all, the inverter switch structure is given according to different circuit conditions in different working times. Then, mathematical equations are formed according to different working times because six working times change operation parts of the inverter. After describing the circuit structure, Matlab SIMULINK also simulates the circuit and provides voltage, current and harmonic distortion values at different inductor values. The voltage gains are calculated from the voltage values obtained in simulation when different segmented inductor sources are active in the circuit. According to these inductor values, the extra power contribution is investigated with calculating the power produced on the load, and the effect of the inductors on the multi-level feature of the circuit is shown. According to the obtained results, it is shown that multi-level inverter design has been successfully performed by using partial inductor source for the first time .
