Detailed information

Traditional wind turbines rely on greater blade radius for greater energy generation, thus making them unsuitable for urban areas. Diffuser Augmented wind turbines cannot be scaled up to support larger weights as that would result in greater stress on the diffuser due to wind speeds. There is demand for innovation in green technologies which can help nations to control their carbon footprints as promised in the Paris Climate Accord. Three million people migrate to the city every week. Thus cities are under pressure to provide greater energy. This energy can be produced with turbines having low cut in speeds designed for the city. The methodology adopted incorporates Velocity Amplification Shroud (VAS) for the turbine blades at the same-time uses Multi-Stage, Multi-rotor array of turbine blade. This methodology utilizes Literature Review, Designing and Analysis, Manufacturing, Experimentation and Validation to solve the problem at hand.
