Detailed information

A human being has more than seventy two thousand nadis but only a few dozen of them perform main functions, and main nadis are the three: Susmna nadi, Pngala nadi and Ida nadi. Among these three nadis, the most important is Susmna nadi. We may compare these thousands of nadis is the trunk of the huge tree. The energy of body and mind circulate mainly through these nadis and the seven chakras dispersed in the Susmna nadi accommodate and control the circulation of nadis. The seven chakras are the master control centre, the master accumulation centre of the energy of body and mind as well as the conscious Revelation and sublimation centre of different aspects. According to the traditional doctrine of yoga the body consists of five elements namely earth, water, fire, air and universe. These five elements are controlled by different chakras.
