NON SURGICAL PERIODONTAL THERAPY

Conventional non surgical periodontal therapy consists of mechanical supra- and sub gingival tooth debridement and instruction in self administered oral health care measures. These measures are directed towards reducing the bacterial load and altering the microbial composition towards a flora more associated with health. These may include scaling, irrigation, lasers,chemotherapeutic agents and host modulation therapy.
