Detailed information

Queues play vital role in our day to day life. Waiting in queues at Administrative set up, Airports, Hospitals, Banks, Universities , Internet connectivity, Phone calls affects our physical, mental as well as economic growth. Balking, Reneging & Feedback are the customer's behavior in Queuing System. Balking means that sometimes, people do not even join the queue due to large number of customers already waiting in the queue. Reneging implies that customer leaves the queue after waiting for sometime in the queue due to long queue or some urgent message. Feedback allows that the person can visit and join any of the previously served channel again, if required. Considering all these customer's behaviors and generalising the solutions for a combination of serial and non-serial queues , each with multiple parallel servers, the effort is done to calculate the mean queue length, so that waiting time can be reduced. The model discussed in this book is of great practical importance for the basic agricultural industry as well as most recent Information Technology sector.
