David Samuels grew up in New Jersey and joined the army duringthe Vietnam conflict. He served as a helicopter gunshippilot and was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action. Afterthe service he was the corporate pilot for a corporation in the northeast. He currently resides in North Carolina with his wife, Elizabeth.
