Detailed information

Tamarind gum based curcumin loaded nanoemulsion was formulated successfully by high speed homogenization method and they were characterized with respect to morphology, zeta potential, differential scanning calorimeter, penetration studies and In vitro release studies. Curcumin loaded nanoemulsion formulations were in nanorange 100-500 and showed good physical stability and lack of phase separation or precipitations. The formulations that having 3% w/w shows highly stable and their size range was found 173nm. Stability study confirmed that nanoemulsion were stable for 3 months at a temperature range of 40c & 250c. The drug release study exhibited sustained drug action from the nanoemulsion. It can be concluded that novel formulation of apigenin can be proved fruitful for the treatment of skin cancer in near future.
