Detailed information

The advent of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) has revolutionized the practice of dentistry, and this technique is now considered the gold standard for imaging the oral and maxillofacial area due to its numerous advantages, including reductions in exposure time, radiation dose, and cost in comparison to otherimaging modalities. CBCT images provide useful datasets to generate both two-dimensional (2D) planar projection and three-dimensional (3D) surface or volume rendered images for use in orthodontic assessment and treatment planning. Keeping in view the paramount importance of CBCT in medical and dental field, this library dissertation attempts to go into the depths of insights into CBCT.
