Potentially malignant oral disorders is a new found disease in the rise in the modern world. They encompass varied lesions such as Lichen planus, Leukoplakia, oral sub mucous fibrosis, etc. Though many of these lesions have been discovered several decades earlier, their importance significantly risen for the past few years. Recent studies in the last few years, have expanded our role in cancer development.This publication aims to understand the pathogenic mechanism of common PMOD's in Indian subcontinent- Oral sub mucous fibrosis, Leukoplakia and Lichen planus.
