This book is written with an intention to provide the knowledge on few concepts related to electric vehicle charging and its impacts on grid and distribution network. The book is organized in three chapters and starts with Non isolated DC-DC Converters for Electric Vehicles in Chapter1.The design of boost converter and interleaved boost converter and their application in power factor improvement using adaptive sliding loss free resistor and sliding mode controller are elaborated. The comparative study between these two methods are shown with respect to the various key parameters. Further, the second chapter presents the impact of electric vehicle charging on grid. Various power quality issues raised during the EV battery charging. The latest updates in EV fast chargers are also a part of this chapter. The Chapter three presents the impact of EV charging on distribution network It is well apparent to all that the charging of EVs are done at home. Due to which the the distribution network gets overloaded frequently. In this chapter ,the various parameters affected on distribution network is explained with the simulations.
