Detailed information

Applied researches particularly relevant to energy conservation and energy conversion have led to new discoveries and inventions in many fields. Quantum Dots ( QDs) fall into this category, with varied applications in the field of Solar cells, LEDs, biological sampling/imaging Novel and many optoelectronic devices in the near future the quantum dots are defined as the semiconductor nanocrystals with the quantum confinement in all three dimensions. This book comprises of simple synthesis strategies of QDs along with the study of the effect of various experimental parameters on the size of nano semiconductor materials, such as CdSe, CdTe, and ZnS, with the aim of producing nanoparticles of desired size distribution. One of the most important aspects, in all these methods, is the choice of greener capping agent and various organic solvents which provides stability to the nanomaterials has been ensured. The book focuses on environment friendly, cost effective, reproducible methods performed with ease using simple, available equipment in laboratory.
