Detailed information

In spite of a fluidity of arguments observed around the causes of homosexuality in the scientific world where different approaches, notably psychological, psychoanalytical, biological and religious, try to explain the question in different ways; we wanted to confront the theoretical realities with the practical ones by basing ourselves on the study of two clinical cases of homosexuals that we have been accompanying for the last two years. Our initial question was to know if the poorly resolved Oedipus complex is at the root of the emergence of the homosexual tendency. The content analysis of our different interviews with the two homosexuals allowed us to arrive at the results according to which the poorly resolved Oedipus complex is at the basis of the emergence of the homosexual tendency in an individual; and consequently we concluded that homosexuality is acquired, one is not born homosexual. Let's remember that these results obtained put forward an unconscious psychic choice made by these two cases, which is linked to the avatars of the sexual development, especially in the oedipal period. It would be opportune to appreciate this study.
