VAP, is a pathology frequently acquired in hospital environments, one of the most common bacteria causing VAP is the bacteria streptococcus pneumoniae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. To elucidate the effectiveness of physiotherapy treatment in patients with ventilator-associated pneumonia. This study is a bibliographic review, descriptive and exploratory, with a qualitative approach. 21 publications were found that in their descriptors contained the same used in the searches of this study, thus after filtering the inclusion and exclusion criteria, nine original articles were included, besides being available in full, distributed in databases such as BVS, PeDRO and Scielo. The intervention of techniques that are also attributes of physiotherapy is effective in the process of intervention and prevention of Mechanical Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia, consequently optimizing the weaning process.
