Detailed information

The ethics of discussion is part of the context in which human societies in the first half of the 20th century experienced a number of crises of several kinds. Each of the dimensions of human existence has been degraded and at the risk of the values of co-responsible humanity. An unforgettable disturbance marked the context where scientism was in full swing, Nazism was the eminence of the Arian race of deliberate extermination of the Jews; context of the rebound of the strategy of the art of war resulting from the strict positivism of post-metaphysics. At the end of 1945, the Second World War ended. Thus, many of the post-metaphysical theories among which theories of consciousness have swarmed; among others, moral solipsism, strategic rationality, value nihilism, indifferentism, the Ethics of responsibility or the heuristic of fear, the Ethics of discussion, etc. Karl-Otto Apel aims at the responsibility of the for the future through the voice of language by means of a new heuristic, that of the "question". As for this work, it demonstrates in any case that the idea of the ultimate foundation remains questionable.
