Detailed information

Burnout is a psychosocial syndrome that occurs in response to stressful situations during the development of a work activity and affects 30-50% of healthcare personnel. For this reason, two years after the start of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, this study is proposed. The aim is to describe the prevalence of burnout syndrome in Internal Medicine specialists and resident interns at a 2nd Level Hospital in the Region of Murcia 2 years after the start of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, using the online Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) questionnaire.A descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out through a survey that included sociodemographic and occupational variables and the MBI questionnaire, which was disseminated online and anonymously in April 2022.Thirty-one people participated (83.8% of the service), of whom 64.5% were women. The age was 46 years or older in 41.9% of participants, between 25 and 30 (35%) and the rest between 30 and 45 years. A total of 38.7% were residents.
