Occupational stress among nursing professionals is very common and can lead to professional exhaustion and consequently to a reduction in the quality of care provided to the user, this fact is aggravated when patient care is intensive. This study aims to evaluate the level of stress and identify the main stressors among nursing professionals to the cancer patient in an intensive care centre. This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach carried out in an intensive care centre of a public reference hospital in oncology in the municipality of Belém. Research based on the Monograph presented at Hospital Ophir Loyola as a requirement for obtaining the degree of Specialist in Nursing in Intensive Care, 2019.
