In Hindu philosophy is being compassionate, tender, kind and letting go of the harm or hurt caused by someone. Forgiveness is virtue, sacrifice, the Vedas, asceticism, holiness held together the universe. In Jainism, Forgiveness is the main virtue to cultivate.
