Megaloblastic anemia develops higher in males (57.4 %) as compared to females (42.5 %).The most affected age group is 31-70 in both males and females.A total of 50 cases, 31 cases were deficient with vitamin B12. From the above study it can be concluded that total incidence of vitamin B12 deficiency is 62 %.The results suggests that with reduced hemoglobin level or abnormal hemoglobin levels, the MCV levels was found to be elevated.In present study 62% patients have deficiency of vitamin B12 and 80% patients have elevated MCV levels.
