This is the life story of Rosa Cavalleri, as told to Marie Hall Ets, who was a friend of Rosa. She tells of her life in a village, her marriage at 16, her unwilling migration to join her husband in Missouri, the unassisted birth of her child, and her life as an independent woman living in Chicago.
