Detailed information

Transplanting is a new tool by which healthy and vigorous seedlings can be screened and planted in the main field so that optimum plant population could be maintained. Another important reason for low productivity is flower drop. All the flowers formed are not transformed into pods due to the physiological reasons. This problem could be managed through better foliar nutrition. Hence better establishment method coupled with foliar nutrition will form a package for increasing the productivity of pigeonpea.
