Horology, the science of timekeeping, allowed early man to harmonize agricultural activity with seasonal fluctuations. Today s man is equipped with a resolution of timekeeping that is synchronized throughout the entire world to a potential accuracy of approximately 30 billionths of seconds per year. The developments are significant yet largely undocumented and ambiguous due to the nature in which horology has governed such historical accuracy.
