Detailed information

Present research has been aimed to explore farmer s perception in using industrial wastewater for irrigation. A cross sectional study has been designed to collect data from the field and emic approach was applied to explore the farmers perception and knowledge. Economics benefits from wastewater overshadow the health risk in farmer s community. The results provided evidence that lead quantities in both samples were very large and show a great danger to plants and other life. Another most toxic metal arsenic was also found in very large concentrations. All these demonstrated a necessity of proper policy, training, and more information on health precautions as well as on food safety in using industrial wastewater.
