When the Thing-in-a-Box became a Thing-on-Two-Legs, Mulligan's life took a turn for the worse. Gone was all the attention. Gone were the long walks with Mr and Mrs Dembo. Now they could only toddle and waddle to the end of the road. Something had to be done.
