New Frontiers in the Public Sector Management

This volume describes and analyses current efforts to restructure and modernize the public sector in some OECD countries. Transformational trends are examined quantitatively and comparatively. Case studies focus on both centralized government ministries and on regional authorities. By providing detailed empirical information on a variety of policy areas, this study also teaches practical lessons for policy implementation. The relevant issues of public sector modernization are carefully considered.
