Fayrfax Carol

Thomas Ades' The Fayrfax Carol was commissioned by the Choir of Kings College, Cambridge for the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on Christmas Eve 1997. Subtle and lyrical yet with pointed, bitter-sweet harmonies, it looks ahead to Christs Passion. A challenging, yet immensely rewarding work.
